| Restorations are a labor of love. The process can be very time-comsuming, tedious, and daunting, calling for a blend of technical savvy and artistic impression. Not many photographers offer it because of the time factor. We find the work to be fullfilling and offer it on a select basis. If we accept the assignment there is a $25.00 nonrefunable fee. We pledge to diligently attempt to restore the image to its original appearance, but on modern paper as a duplicate. The original is returned to you after scanning. Often, we will give two or more additional looks to the image through tinting, cropping and borders. We'll apply the fee towards any puchase. Restorations take time and we cannot guarantee to meet any deadline. | How much is an old picture worth? Old pictures are often the only link we have to the past. We cherish them as keepsakes, pass them on to our kids, hang them on the walls, and make albums to hold them. Often, it isn't until you are bit seasoned and more acutely aware of your own mortality that you consider how best to pass on your family story to the next generation. We do it with pictures. |
